How can we use a Virtual Tour to
promote our products, properties, and/or services?
The number of consumers on the Internet is increasing at faster pace
than ever predicted. The Internet is used for everything from
banking to shopping, and has dramatically changed the way we learn
about products and services and research our next purchase. Through
stunning full 360º virtual tours your prospective clients,
customers, and guests will be able to truly see your offering from
the most powerful perspective. Having a Virtual Tour allows your
audience to be immersed in a seamless 360 degree visual environment
that offers far more information than single images or short video
clip. It is sure to provide your audience a visual experience they
will not forget and distinguish your product form the rest giving
you an edge over your competitors and will saving you valuable time.
How much do virtual tours cost?
We
customize each tour we build. Since all projects have different
parameters, we customize our quotes specifically to each client
based on individual needs. Since we allow for such a high level of
customization, we bid each project on the needs of that client. We
must see those parameters in order to give fair pricing on a
project. Make sure to visit the section of our website for your
industry and you will be instructed on how to proceed. Or just visit
our
contact
page and let us know what you're looking for to get started.
Can anyone view a virtual tour?
In order to view most virtual tours, you must have either
Java
or
QuickTime
(QTVR) on the computer. Since Java is typically already a standard
component of most operating systems, this means that users viewing
your virtual tour will most likely not have to acquire any special
plug-in. The tour can be viewed with most web browser on multiple
computer platforms, such as Windows, Linux and Macintosh.
What’s the Difference in Java and QTVR?
JAVA is built into the operating system of most every personal
computer used today and therefore our JAVA content does not require
any additional software download to view it. However JAVA has
traditionally not worked well in older MAC computers. QTVR stands
for QuickTime Virtual Reality and is a technology that creates a
more integrated experience, especially when using sound. QTVR is
free software download for all platforms and preinstalled into every
MAC as well as many Windows machines on delivery. This combination
allows almost every viewer to see our content with no need for
additional installations.
Why are some virtual tours
horizontal while others allow viewing in all directions?
The panoramic-only (horizontal) virtual tours represent older, less
sophisticated technology. Many photographers have not switched to
the "spherical" type of photographic equipment and software used by
VirtualVue because it is more expensive, the images are more
labor-intensive to develop, and there is a steep learning curve when
it comes to producing professional quality spherical image.
Can virtual tours be
viewed offline?
VirtualVue custom tours can be made available for offline
viewing utilizing several popular marketing formats. We can create
custom CD’s, or fully custom tours that can be launched from your
desktop once downloaded.
Do I need my own website?
No; we can host your tour at virtualvue.com if you do not have a
website.
